Has This Legacy Challenge been playtested?

EXCELLENT QUESTION! And the short answer, YES! I had this game playtested with no mods, with a few mods, and with a lot of mods….so trust me when I tell you I’ve seen this game played every single way it can be played and each way, it’s a wild ride.

Can I play this game Unmodded?

I did my best to make sure this game can be played unmodded. One person who playtested it used MAYBE 2 Mods (one being MCC Commands), and I’m pretty sure none of the mods were actually used FOR the game. The other person who playtested it played with a few mods. I played with A LOT of mods.

Do we have to speed through each ERA?

NOT AT ALL! Honestly, I don’t like it when people speed through challenges. Take your time with it- get to know the character- let things happen.

Can you have generations?

The only time you are allowed to have generations or children is when the challenge allows for it (there is a specific time). THAT BEING SAID, apparently my Challenge is cursed and everyone who plays it ends up not only abducted by aliens, but pregnant by them…so that’s cool. IF that happens, do whatever you want with them. Raise them, send off to their other parent, give them up for adoption…I don’t care. They just won’t be canon to the story (unless you want it to be, of course..then have fun). To add onto this, if you don’t want male sims to get pregnant by aliens (which is apparently the default…), make sure you change it in your settings.

Do we keep the extra traits we get for accomplishing things in game?

Yes. As each ERA progresses and you accomplish things, the additional traits you achieve you can keep those. The only traits you are restarting each ERA are the original 3 in CAS.

Do we have to have knowledge of Taylor to play this game?

No. IF you have knowledge of Taylor Swift, you’ll understand the Easter Eggs spread throughout the game, but not knowing doesn’t mean you can’t play the game- it just makes it less fun so ya know, a chance of FOMO. But if you have that feeling, just go grab a local Swiftie and get a quick lesson in Taylor Lore.

How do the songs and the albums mix together? Are they a song from the same album?

So the way this works is each ERA is inspired by an album AND a random song. So for example, the first ERA is Debut (Taylor Swift) and the song Clara Bow. Clara Bow is from THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT. The way the two intertwine is the connection between the meaning of the random song and the album it’s paired with telling one story.

Are there any requirements?

Like I said, I did my best to make sure you don’t need any Mods to play. THAT BEING SAID, there are a few packs that are required. Those are Cottage Living, Horse Ranch, Realm Of Magic, Enchanted By Nature, City Living, Get Famous, Lovestruck, Country Living, and Spa Day.

Can we use any cheats?

Normally, I would say no….HOWEVER, like with everything- there are exceptions to the rule: If you are streaming, you could do a channel point like “cashapp” or “gofundsim” or something like that where your viewers could send NO MORE THAN 500 simoleons every 30 minutes or hour (depending on how long you stream). If you aren’t streaming, with every ERA you go into, reward yourself with NO MORE THAN 500 simoleons for each Milestone you accomplished the previous ERA. These would be the only exceptions to the rule.
